Intensive Modern Standard Arabic
The Intensive Arabic language courses are based on the modern standard Arabic levels defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). In one semester, the student will be able to cover the equivalent of a full level, novice, intermediate or advanced.
The standard level covered in this program is second and third semester Arabic (ACTFL, from the middle of Mid Novice to the middle of Mid Intermediate). Other levels are optionally available provided that a minimum number of students are enrolled. Classes meet 3 times a week with 3 hours for each class session.
Students will receive 6 credit-hours of university credits for the Intensive Arabic language courses.
